George Miller, director of the film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, is set to visit Korea, gathering anticipation as this year’s most talked-about film after its selection as an official invitee to the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is an action blockbuster that depicts the epic journey of Furiosa, who is mercilessly thrown into a world devastated 45 years after the collapse of civilization. She stakes her entire life to return to her homeland.

With the film’s release on the horizon, director George Miller will make a surprise visit to South Korea on the 14th. During his visit, Miller intends to meet with the Korean press and fans in advance, introducing the work and sharing greetings in a special moment.

Director George Miller is a global maestro beloved by film fans worldwide. He has directed all the previous installments of the Mad Max series, which began in 1980. He is the creator of its universe. Especially with Mad Max: Fury Road, the explosive, action-packed sequel to the Mad Max series released 30 years later in 2015, he shook the global film industry with its crazy action, solid story, and overwhelming direction, proving his enduring prowess as a master filmmaker.

The prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, set for release in May, has heightened expectations as George Miller takes the helm once again. Additionally, its official invitation to the non-competitive section of the 77th Cannes Film Festival and the announcement of its world premiere have drawn global attention, potentially leading to another worldwide phenomenon.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is scheduled to be released in South Korea in May.
