Japanese announcer Yuzuriha Nozomi has announced her marriage.
Nozomi, a caster on AbemaTV’s AbemaNews in Japan, announced her marriage on social media on April 2.
Nozomi posted a photo with her husband without revealing his face. She titled the post “Report” and shared that she got married.
Even though it’s a personal matter, the outpouring of good wishes touched Nozomi since news of her marriage spread through broadcasts and articles. She expressed her gratitude for everyone’s warm words.
Nozomi revealed that her husband is five years younger than her. He is a former drummer who currently works at a foreign consulting firm.
In a heartwarming twist, Nozomi revealed they met through the mobile strategy game Clash of Clans. Their shared love for gaming and similar upbringings, including lifestyle habits and even enjoyment of drinks, fostered a quick connection. Nozomi expressed a sense of comfort in being around him.
Nozomi registered her marriage on April 1. However, knowing it was April Fool’s Day, she worried people might mistake it for a prank and decided to wait to announce it, a detail that brought laughter to fans.
Nozomi shared her excitement about the new perspective marriage brings. “Until now, I’ve seen the world through my lens,” she said. “But being married, I think I’ll have the chance to learn and discuss things from a whole new angle.” She playfully added, “I might be a newbie at this marriage thing, but I’m ready to level up in life, just like gaining XP in a game!” Her post concluded with these ambitious words.
Nozomi has been active as an announcer on Hiroshima Home TV, TV Osaka, and others since 2010. She declared herself a freelance announcer in 2014 and is currently meeting viewers as a caster on “ABEMANEWS” on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
