Taiwanese TV personality Mickey Huang has shocked the public after receiving a suspended indictment on charges of purchasing, possessing, and filming underage explicit content.

On April 3, foreign media outlets such as 8World reported that Huang was given a two-year suspended indictment, subject to payment of a fine of approximately $42,500 and submission of a letter of apology.

The Taipei District Prosecutors Office revealed that Huang had directly filmed seven explicit images of minors and had purchased and possessed hundreds of obscene videos of young girls. The prosecution sentenced Huang to a two-year suspended indictment, requiring him to pay a 1.2 million Taiwanese dollars fine and submit a letter of apology.

Huang’s purchase and possession of the videos were discovered during an investigation into sexual assault allegations.

On Facebook last June, Zofia exposed that she had been sexually assaulted by a senior in the entertainment industry about ten years ago.

Zofia confessed, “When I was 17 years old, a senior in the entertainment industry forced me to kiss him,” and added, “He told me to take off my top in a hotel. He said it was for an art exhibition while taking pictures.” She also said, “I was so scared that I couldn’t stop crying. He told me my crying was beautiful, sending shivers down my spine.”

Zofia’s confession spread through social media, and it was revealed that the “senior in the entertainment industry” Zofia mentioned was Huang. Huang admitted this and posted an apology video. Huang also shocked the public during that time by attempting suicide.

Later, Huang was summoned by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office and paid a bail of approximately $12,375.

Recently, Huang and Zofia reached an agreement. Zofia did not press charges against Huang, so he was not indicted for sexual assault. However, during the investigation, it was revealed that Huang had purchased explicit videos of minors from pornographic websites.

Last year, Huang accused Korean singer Koo Jun Yup of forcing him to take drugs. Koo’s side denied all allegations as false. Huang is expected to be investigated for drug-related charges.

Huang was known to have been in a relationship with Seo Hee Jae, Koo Jun Yup’s sister-in-law. Huang is married to actress Summer Meng, who is 20 years his junior, and they have a daughter.
