BLACKPINK Jennie Steals the Spotlight: ‘Apartment 404’ Cast Time Travels to 2011 College Life

The six Apartment 404 members jumped back into time to transform into first-year college students in 2011.

The tvN entertainment show Apartment 404 featured six members, who are now college freshmen, solving a mysterious case on April 5th.

For this episode, the members donned freshman attire. G sporting pigtails and glasses, Jennie stole the show, prompting reactions like “Jennie is so cute” and “She looks like a cheerleader version of Pippi Longstocking.”

Cha Tae Hyun sported puffy jackets popular with 2011 students, while Jennie channeled the look of Girls’ Generation. Yoo Jae Suk went for Big Bang’s style, and Lee Jung Ha surprised everyone with a Beast transformation, complete with a leather jacket.

Yang Se Chan, who appeared in a sparkling tracksuit as Hyun Bin from “Secret Garden,” checked himself by saying, “Don’t I stand out too much even from afar?” This elicited responses like, “Did you plan this?” and “Don’t you look too out of place?”

Then, Oh Nara asked Jennie, “Why is your face so swollen?” Yoo Jae Suk suspected it was due to sleep inertia.

Looking downcast with her glasses on, Jennie muttered, “I even wore glasses, but my face is still swollen!” Nara then chimed in with a joke, “Next time, bring your eyes,” sparking laughter. Following her was Oh Nara, rocking a wild leather outfit that prompted Yang Se Chan to quip, “Aren’t you from Dragon Ball’s Ginyu Force?” sending everyone into another round of laughter.

As they reminisced about 2011, Jennie and Lee Jung Ha revealed they were still in middle school. Yang Se Chan, however, countered with a laugh, “My memories of 2011 are crystal clear – I was in the military!” Yoo Jae Suk recalled, “Ah, that’s when I was busy hosting ‘Infinite Challenge.'”

To add to the intrigue, the episode depicted the members tackling a real case at a university in 2011.
