BTS Jungkook to BLACKPINK Rosé: K-pop Stars Show Off Their Adorable Pets on Social Media

TV Report Views

Joining the trend of celebrity pet owners, BTS’s Jungkook recently launched a social media account for his adorable dog, Bam. But Jungkook isn’t the only one! K-pop stars like Rosé from BLACKPINK, Joy from Red Velvet, and Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation have all created accounts to share their furry companions with the world. Get ready to meet the pets of these A-listers who are stealing hearts just like their famous owners.

Jungkook’s influence is undeniable. On April 14, his new social media account for his pet dog, Bam, amassed a staggering 3.05 million followers in just 24 hours.

Jungkook announced the news of the account opening through a fan communication platform. He said, “Since I can’t brag about myself right now, I’ll have to brag about my pup. Have a fun ‘Bam’ time,” revealing Bam’s account ID.

Jungkook proved his enthusiasm by posting seven posts on the account within a day of its opening. Even though Jungkook enlisted in the army last December, he’s found a clever way to stay connected with his fans through Bam’s account. This is a big deal for ARMY since Jungkook doesn’t have his own social media accounts, and unsurprisingly, the account has attracted a lot of attention.

BLACKPINK’s Rosé opened a social media account for her pet dog Hank in 2020 and gained 350,000 followers in just a day.

Rosé announced the opening of Hank’s account through her social media account on December 10, 2020. Rosé tagged Hank’s account with a post saying, “This is Hank. Please take care of me from now on.” Since then, she has been sharing updates about Hank through the account.

Rosé’s love for her dog Hank shines through in her detailed account bio. She included not only his birthday but also his adoption date, melting the hearts of BLINKs.

Hank’s social media account has 5.02 million followers, the highest number among the social media accounts of pets owned by Korean celebrities.

Joy from Red Velvet jumped on the pet account trend in 2019 when she created a social media profile for her adorable pup, Haetnim. With 140,000 followers and counting, the account has captured the hearts of Reveluvs (Red Velvet’s fandom) and the general public.

Joy announced the opening of Haetnim’s social media account on April 26, 2019, with a post saying, “Hello. This is Haetnim,” along with a picture of Haetnim. The post received a lot of attention and received about 900 comments.

A dedicated pet parent, Joy has been actively sharing on Haetnim’s account since its creation in 2019. With 139 posts and counting, she’s kept fans engaged. In the spirit of Lunar New Year this February, Joy shared an adorable picture of Haetnim sporting a festive ribbon.

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon opened a social media account for her pet dog, Zero, in 2017. Powered by Taeyeon’s influence, Zero’s account achieved about 410,000 followers.

Taeyeon has shared 475 posts from 2017 to the present, revealing her love for Zero.

Taeyeon is known for her deep affection for her pet dog Zero and has even done advertisement campaigns with him. Last November, Taeyeon and Zero appeared together on “Kang Hyung Wook’s Dog Show”, hosted by dog trainer Kang Hyung Wook.

In addition, Key from SHINee, singer Kim Sejeong, and Seungkwan from SEVENTEEN have also opened social media accounts for their pets.
