We have some great picnic-friendly restaurants before you embark on your picnic in Jeju. Enjoying a packed meal while gazing at the blue sea is bound to be even more delicious. Let’s explore some of these delightful picnic boxes boasting impressive visual appeal.

Donggoryang

Donggoryang sells lunch boxes made with ingredients sourced from Jeju. These are homemade lunch boxes, with every ingredient, down to the sauce, prepared in-house. They offer a diverse range of menus.

Their signature Donggoryang lunch box includes canola-tuna rice balls, black pork muffins, bacon and egg salad, mild chili paste, balsamic tomatoes, celery pickles, and miso soybean paste soup. Thanks to the generous portions and appealing visuals, this lunch box specialty store is loved by tourists. Donggoryang only offers take-out, and same-day reservations are available.

Jeju Ttosirang

Jeju Ttosirang is a place where you can enjoy fresh lunch boxes. Their signature menu is a stone wall gimbap generously filled with Jeju black pork. It’s a unique menu item that catches the eye with its unique visuals, especially when dipped in wasabi mayo sauce.

In addition to gimbap, you can enjoy a yubu (fried tofu) rice ball set and a ham and cheese sandwich served with Hallabong jam. Jeju Ttosirang operates on a reservation system, and it is recommended to make reservations at least 3 days to 2 weeks in advance.

Jeju Myeongwol Station is a lunch box specialty store located in Hallim-eup. Their signature menu items are gimbap and yubu rice balls. You can taste a variety of gimbap, such as pork belly bulgogi, salmon, and cheese gochujang bulgogi. With yubu rice balls, you can enjoy a new taste of yubu rice balls topped with toppings such as eel, salmon, butter shrimp, woosamgyeop, and tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties).

Jeju Myeongwol Station also sells a healthy lunch box composed of tofu yubu rice balls, tot gimbap, and an eel lunch box. These are perfect lunch box sets to take out and enjoy outdoors.

All menus at Jeju Myeongwol Station are available for take-out and dining in. It operates on a reservation-first basis, so it is recommended that you make a reservation before visiting.

Semo

Semo is a lunch box specialty store located on Haengwon-ro in Gujwa-eup. They sell adorable onigiri (rice balls). The onigiri menu includes black pork gochujang, black pork garlic soy sauce, conch teriyaki, tot tuna mayo, tuna cream, and crab meat peanut cream.

These cute onigiri are wrapped in kelp instead of seaweed. They are great for a picnic because of their excellent taste and visuals. At Semo, you can enjoy carrot juice squeezed from Gujwa carrots with your onigiri lunch box. Semo only offers take-out, and making a reservation before visiting is recommended.

Haenyeo Gimbap

Haenyeo Gimbap is situated at Hamdeok Beach. You can enjoy gimbap made with clean ingredients from Jeju, seafood ramen, and squid fritters. Notably, Haenyeo Gimbap’s visuals set it apart from regular gimbaps.

The full-filled visual of the gimbap looks appetizing just by looking at it. The gimbap varieties include spicy squid fritters, Jeju seaweed and cockles ground rice mixed with squid ink, fried shrimp patty with pickled cabbage, egg omelet, and abalone rice.

Squid fritters are also a specialty. The seafood filled with plentiful seafood is also popular. Thanks to the dazzling visuals of the gimbap, it’s perfect for taking pictures and as a picnic lunch box. EspecialGimbap is widespread, especially among foreign tourists. When you visit Haenyeo Gimbap, you can see many foreign travelers waiting.
