Akina Nakamori, a singer who dominated the 1980s, is planning an event for her fans, generating a lot of anticipation.
The foreign media outlet Sports Alert reported on April 16 that Akina Nakamori is planning to host an event for her fan club members in July.
Akina Nakamori’s agency shut down rumors of a concert, clarifying, “Several media outlets have incorrectly reported a concert for Ms. Nakamori. However, we plan a fan club event for ALDEA members in July.” They added, “This will be Ms. Nakamori’s first appearance in front of fans in a long time, and she’s understandably nervous. We kindly request that media coverage be kept respectful and minimal for a smooth event.”
A wave of excitement rippled through Japanese social media after several foreign news outlets mistakenly reported an upcoming Akina Nakamori concert. However, her agency quickly clarified that these reports were untrue.
In 2017, Akina Nakamori celebrated her 35th anniversary in the music industry by releasing the album Akina. Following this, she took a hiatus for roughly three years before returning to the spotlight in 2020.
Last year, Nakamori launched her channel “AKINA NAKAMORI OFFICIAL.” The channel reached 650,000 subscribers in just six months after its launch, and a video released on December 24 last year has approximately 5.8 million views.
Akina Nakamori, who debuted in 1982, released songs like “Second Love” and “Mi Amore” and received a lot of love throughout Asia.
