Turning heads recently is Taiwanese cheerleader Ili, who announced the end of her four-year relationship.
According to ETtoday on April 17, Ili cited her demanding schedule for her recent breakup.
Known as the “new generation cheerleading goddess,” Ili revealed in a local interview that she ended her four-year relationship last year due to long-term training in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and the strain of a long-distance relationship.
Thrust into the spotlight as Taiwan’s “cheerleading goddess,” Ili’s love life has been a constant source of speculation among fans. Addressing the online chatter in a recent interview, Yi Li stated, “I came across comments discussing my relationship status. They were wondering if I had a boyfriend.” She then cleared the air, revealing her current single status.
She revealed that her last relationship was a four-year relationship with a senior from college.
Following her rise to cheerleading fame, Ili’s relocation from Taipei to Kaohsiung forced her relationship into long-distance mode. Unfortunately, the strain proved too much, and they called it quits.
Ili elaborated on the reasons behind the split, revealing that despite minimal conflict during their time together, the physical distance ultimately took a toll. “After college, we worked together in Taipei, but when I decided to return to Kaohsiung, he wasn’t very enthusiastic,” she explained. “We tried long-distance, but once cheerleading took off, my intense training schedule strained the relationship.”
The breakup wasn’t easy for Ili. “I cried all night after it happened,” she admitted, acknowledging the emotional toll. Focusing on work and taking time to heal, she revealed, “Dating isn’t a priority right now. I’m too busy and still sorting through my feelings.”
Despite being single now, Ili isn’t shying away from love entirely. When asked about her ideal partner, she revealed she prioritizes personality over looks, saying, “A good sense of humor and a friendly nature are most important to me.”
