With only two months left until his military discharge, BTS member Jin continues to showcase his love for traditional Korean alcohol.
On April 17, Park Rok Dam, the director of the Korean Traditional Alcohol Research Institute, posted on his social media, “There has been a surge in requests from BTS Jin’s fans for traditional Korean alcohol brewing and tasting sessions. The requests come from countries including Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.”
Park added, “The influence of a single individual can be enormous. It makes me rethink the development and status of traditional Korean alcohol.”
In the latest released photo, Jin is shown diligently brewing alcohol. His military attire, complete with a “Special Warrior” badge, is also noticeable.
Fans who saw this reacted with comments such as “His hair is so cute,” “He’s consistently brewing alcohol,” and “His military discharge is not far off now.”
An avid fan of traditional Korean alcohol, Jin previously delved into the world of Makgeolli brewing with celebrity chef Baek Jong Won on “Drunk JIN Talk.” Driven to share his love for these beverages, Jin received brewing knowledge and even brands, Jubangmun and Sahae Brothers, from Master Park Rok Dam. His dedication extended beyond learning, as he actively promoted these cultural treasures by serving as a special judge at Korea’s Best Alcohol Awards.
Jin shared his updates on brewing traditional alcohol during his military leave, and heartwarming anecdotes about him gifting his homemade alcohol to friends have continued.
Having enlisted in December 2022, Jin serves as a training assistant sergeant. He’s set to be the first BTS member discharged this June.
