Min Hee Jin, the CEO of ADOR, explained why she asked a shaman about BTS’s military service.
ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin held an emergency press conference at 3 PM on the 25th at the Korean Conference Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
HYBE, auditing ADOR’s attempted takeover since the 22nd, announced the interim audit results that morning. HYBE presented evidence indicating the plans of a takeover strategy under the guidance of ADOR’s representative and declared intentions to complain to investigative authorities.
According to HYBE, CEO Min Hee Jin had received guidance from a female shaman on key company management matters such as personnel and hiring. The shaman claimed to have been coaching Min Hee Jin on overall management via messenger, saying she is in a state of spirit possession with a close relative of CEO Min Hee Jin.
Furthermore, HYBE asserted that Min Hee Jin had discussed the matter of BTS members’ military service with the shaman. When Min Hee Jin asked, “Will BTS go to the military or not?” the shaman replied, “They will.” In response, Min Hee Jin said, “It seems better for me if BTS goes to the military.”
Regarding her conversation with the shaman, Min Hee Jin said, “I asked about BTS’s military service because I was thinking about my child as a mother of NewJeans. I thought it might be better for NewJeans to be active in a situation where HYBE is annoying and there is no ace. That’s personal harassment. I’ll sue. And the shaman was originally an acquaintance. Is it wrong to have a shaman as an acquaintance?”
Meanwhile, Min Hee Jin is currently being audited for attempting to break away from HYBE headquarters. In response, Min Hee Jin’s side claims they were unfairly audited after raising the issue that ILLIT, a rookie idol under HYBE’s label Belift Lab, imitated NewJeans. In contrast, HYBE argues that Min Hee Jin’s takeover attempt has nothing to do with ILLIT and has been ongoing since the beginning of this year. HYBE further confirms that Representative Min Hee Jin sought guidance from a female shaman regarding company management, with obtained messages indicating inquiries about pivotal matters such as personnel and recruitment.
