On April 27, Na Hoon A officially announced his retirement at the 2024 Na Hoon A Concert Thank You (Last Concert) held at Songdo Convensia in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. At the beginning of the concert, he expressed his regret by stating, “First of all, this Incheon performance will be the last.”
Regarding suspicions that he is retiring due to health issues, he reassured fans that he received a clean bill of health from various tests, including a physical examination conducted in February this year.
He said about his retirement plans, “Do you know how hard I’ve struggled? I’ve stopped wanting to eat even when there’s delicious food on the street. Now, I’m going to live doing what I want. I’ll go places I’ve never been and eat things I’ve never tasted,” expressing a bittersweet resolution. He added, “I should spend all the money I’ve earned through hard work before I die.” It seems that Na Hoon A, who has lived in the public eye, wants to live as an ordinary citizen, doing everything he wishes to do.
V of the globally acclaimed K-pop group BTS also made headlines when he revealed his retirement plans while actively performing.
V, who debuted in June 2013, mentioned his post-retirement plans in an interview. At the time, he surprised fans by unveiling a romantic plan, saying, “After completing all my activities in acting and singing by the age of forty, I will dedicate my life to my wife and live by building a family.”
He also shared a very specific dream: “I want to spend my old age looking cool, throwing shrimp crackers to pigeons in the park in the fall, wearing a brown beret and a brown coat,” which brought smiles to many.
