Actor Lee Seo Han has once again clarified allegations of uploading illegal footage.
On May 3, Lee Seo Han posted on his social media, “I have been silent out of fear and regret, but my lack of explanation has only stirred up more controversy. I am mustering up the courage to post again.”
Lee, who often listens to music and watches movies with his close friends at musician Bang Ye Dam’s studio, explained, “Yesterday, five of us gathered for a drink. After midnight, one friend who was drunk and Ye Dam went home. The rest of us decided to have one more drink and posted a video of a story about a staged situation on a private account. It was not filmed illegally.”
Lee apologized for his immature behavior, saying, “I sincerely apologize to everyone upset by the video and my fans who care for me. I will act more carefully in the future. I am sorry once again.”
The day before, Lee Seo Han had posted a video on his social media that appeared to show two people engaging in alleged sexual activity at Bang Ye Dam’s studio. The video was later deleted, but some raised suspicions that he was filming illegally.
As the controversy grew, Lee explained, “The video yesterday was a joke among male friends. I apologize to Ye Dam and his fans for the fact that the location of the video was Ye Dam’s studio. I would appreciate it if you could refrain from making assumptions and misunderstandings about this video.” Despite his explanation, the controversy did not subside, prompting him to post a second clarification and apologize again.
Lee Seo Han recently debuted in the 2021 web drama Nonexistent Movie. Bang Ye Dam gained recognition as the runner-up on SBS’s Survival Audition K-pop Star Season 2 in 2013. He later performed under the K-pop group Treasure. He is currently pursuing a solo career after leaving the group.
