Actress Song Da Eun (32) has been the target of online harassment after a photo mishap on social media sparked rumors of a romantic involvement with BTS member Jimin (28). With no official statements from either party, Song Da Eun has been subjected to harsh comments.
On the 22nd, Song Da Eun took to her social media story to announce her intention to take legal action unless the online harasser apologized.
Song Da Eun published a screenshot of the hateful messages she received on her social media, including comments like, “Let me tell you why the fans are cursing at you,” and “There’s such a huge gap; it’s impossible to ‘fabricate’ a believable two-shot photo.”
In response, Song Da Eun called out the online harasser by name. She began her post by saying, “[name], you’ve been consistently sending logical-seeming emails explaining why I should be cursed at. You must have worked hard.”
Song Da Eun criticized the harasser suggesting, “How about using this passion of yours for your future? Isn’t it a waste to use your energy on me?” She added, “If there’s one thing I want to tell you, it’s that you shouldn’t classify people by their ‘levels’. Every person has dignity, and mutual understanding is what makes a society and human relationships.” She gave this advice to the harasser who had compared her ‘level’ to Jimin’s.
She showed her determination to take legal action by saying, “Wouldn’t you feel hurt if someone said this to you? And these emails are not read by me but by my lawyer. If you don’t want to receive a summons for a police investigation in a few days, you’d better apologize. This is your last chance.”
Earlier, on the 17th, Song Da Eun had posted photos and videos of a man who reminded many of Jimin on her social media, sparking dating rumors. She shared photos of herself wearing BTS merchandise and being in a location presumed to be Jimin’s house. She also posted and quickly deleted a photo of earphones with both her and Jimin’s names on them, raising suspicions.
Both Song Da Eun and Jimin were already involved in dating rumors last year.
Song Da Eun gained popularity after appearing on Channel A‘s Heart Signal 2 in 2018.
Jimin enlisted in the military last December and is expected to be discharged in June 2025.
