Known for her role in the popular series When Calls the Heart, Mamie Laverock suffered a tragic fall. According to Page Six, on May 28, 19-year-old Laverock fell from a five-story building on May 11, putting her life in danger.
Laverock was reportedly transported to a hospital in Vancouver. After undergoing several surgeries, she is relying on life support, stirring feelings of sorrow.
Laverock’s family shared on their GoFundMe page, “Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories. She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support.”
The post has garnered about 14,000 CAD (approximately $11,800) in donations from those wishing to support Laverock.
Her co-star Johannah Newmarch stated, “This is a difficult time for everyone caring for Mamie Laverock. Please help if you can,” and attached the GoFundMe link.
Laverock appeared in When Calls the Heart Season 1, which aired on the American Hallmark Channel in 2014. She received much love for her role as nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan. At the Young Artist Awards, Laverock won the Best Performance in a TV Series (Supporting Young Actress).
