BTS’ agency Big Hit Music issued a request to fans as Jin’s discharge from military service approaches just a day away.
“Jin is about to complete his military service as an active duty soldier in the army. We earnestly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site to prevent crowding accidents. We ask that you send your warm welcome and encouragement to Jin in spirit,” the agency announced while also informing there will be no separate event on the day of his discharge.
Big Hit Music said, “We are always grateful for the support and unwavering love fans have sent to Jin. We will continue to do our best to support our artists,” and thanked the fans who love BTS once again.
Jin, the eldest member of BTS, is the first among the members to announce his discharge. Enlisted in December 2022, he served as an assistant at the Army’s 5th Division Recruit Training Center. Notably, he was selected as a special-class soldier for his exemplary military life and was also promoted early to corporal.
Jin plans to hold a “hug event” for 1000 fans at the offline event 2024 FESTA held at the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul the day after his discharge on June 13.
“We’ll do our best to make sure Jin’s love for his fans will be well conveyed. We ask for your support and interest in Jin’s offline event to be held on June 13,” the agency wrote.
Starting with Jin, J-Hope and Suga are expected to return to fans in turn. The full team of BTS, including V, RM, Jungkook, and Jimin, is expected to be seen again after their discharge in 2025.
