BTS’s Jin returned to his fans in good health, completing his military duties. Fans are now looking forward to the band’s future activities.
Jin completed his military discharge report at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province the morning of June 12. He has dutifully completed his mandatory military service for a year and a half. Dressed in his combat uniform adorned with the mark of Assistant Instructor and a mark of Special Warrior, he saluted ceremoniously. Jin received much attention for his excellent military life, including two early promotions.
Jin was the first member of BTS to complete his military duty. Looking forward to the eldest member’s return, all members welcomed him warmly. RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are serving their military duties but took leave to visit Jin’s discharge site, supporting his fresh start. RM, currently serving in the military band, performed a congratulatory show with a saxophone. Suga is also serving his mandatory military service and joined the festivities at the HYBE building.
Jin’s return from his comrades in arms to his beloved colleagues signals a new beginning for BTS. Wanting to spend more meaningful time close to ARMY (BTS’s fandom name), Jin will participate in FESTA 2024 on June 13 held near the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul, greeting fans and sharing the news of his discharge. June 13 marks BTS’ 11th anniversary, making the day even more significant. Divided into two parts, the event will feature a hug event for 1,000 fans, followed by a conversation with fans, marking the start of Jin and BTS’ return to the entertainment industry.
BTS’s agency HYBE is expected to benefit greatly from Jin’s return. Public opinion of HYBE has not been favorable following the recent disputes with ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin. Along with a drop in stock prices, the company was in dire straits, but the news of Jin’s comeback brought good news of a 1% stock rise. With Jin’s return giving HYBE some breathing room, all eyes are on what direction HYBE will take with BTS.
