Blackpink’s Rosé has signed an exclusive contract with The Black Label, finalizing the plans for all four members of Blackpink. Accordingly, fans are increasingly looking forward to their upcoming activities.
On the 18th, The Black Label announced their exclusive contract with Rosé, stating, “Rosé is preparing to meet global fans with new music.”
The agency promised to provide full support for Rosé, saying, “We hope you look forward to the best synergy between Rosé, who has a unique musical style, and The Black Label, which pursues artistic freedom.”
With Rosé settling into The Black Label, a platform for individual activities has been set up for all members of Blackpink.
Blackpink debuted on August 8, 2016, and has been active with hit songs like “Boombayah,” “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” and “Pink Venom.” In 2023, Blackpink only renegotiated their contract with YG Entertainment solely for group activities, deciding not to sign an exclusive contract for individual activities. As a result, the members went their separate ways.
Jennie was the first to take action. She founded her solo agency, ODD ATELIER, and moved with two managers who had been in charge of her at YG Entertainment. Jisoo established her label, BLISSOO, under a children’s health functional food brand owned by her older brother, embarking on a new journey in January. Lisa also established her label, LLOUD, in February and showed her determination to accelerate her activities.
Currently, the Blackpink members are preparing for active activities. Jennie has revealed her solo album plans through several interviews, and last month she featured on Zico’s comeback single, “SPOT!”
Jisoo is actively pursuing her acting opportunities. After challenging herself with the drama “Snowdrop” in 2021, she is currently confirmed to appear in the movie “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” and the Coupang Play drama “Influenza.”
Lisa is preparing for both a solo album and acting roles simultaneously. Recently, Lisa signed a new partnership with RCA Records under Sony Music in the United States and is preparing a solo album. She has also confirmed her appearance in Season 3 of the HBO drama “The White Lotus.”
Rosé, who was the last among the members to finalize her plans, is expected to actively pursue a career as a solo singer. Earlier this year, Rosé demonstrated her commitment to music by unexpectedly releasing part of her self-composed song “Vampirehollie” on her birthday in February.
All members of Blackpink are currently focusing on individual activities. As they embark on their first significant solo ventures since their debut, they are receiving widespread support and encouragement.
