BLACKPINK Lisa Goes Solo with ‘ROCKSTAR,’ Tops Charts Worldwide

Lisa from the BLACKPINK has showcased her global popularity through her new single “Rockstar.”

On the 28th, Lisa released her new single “Rockstar” on all music platforms, marking her official solo debut. Immediately after its release, Lisa’s “Rockstar” ranked 8th on the U.S. Spotify global chart, the highest debut record for a K-pop female solo artist.

Moreover, “Rockstar” surpassed Lisa’s previous songs, “Lalisa” and “Money,” which were ranked 15th and 28th, respectively. In her home country of Thailand, “Rockstar” dominated the charts with over 2.57 million streams, setting the highest daily streams for all albums released in Thailand.

The “Rockstar” music video also proved Lisa’s global popularity. It was number one in Australia, the UK, France, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Turkey, and Mexico. It eventually reached the top of YouTube’s Music Video Trending Worldwide.

Furthermore, BLACKPINK members congratulated Lisa on her solo single with supportive messages, and global artists, including Rosalia, also shared their wishes on social media.

“Rockstar,” the first single released with LLOUD Co. and RCA Records, highlights Lisa’s skilled rap and energetic vocals. Lisa is sparking worldwide sensation as a global artist. Lisa aims to continue her active global activities with her powerful start.
