Hollywood actors Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds surprised audiences on Sunday by appearing on a South Korean music program broadcast by SBS.
“I enjoy listening to K-pop, and it’s such a big pleasure to introduce this week’s hottest K-pop artists,” Reynolds announced.
Jackman also shared his unique love for K-pop, saying, “I love K-pop, but I particularly like upbeat, dance music when I walk around the streets of New York.”
They then introduced Lee Young Ji, New Jeans, and TWS as this week’s nominees for the award on Inkigayo, urging viewers to stay tuned for the reveal.
Jackman and Reynolds have enjoyed a busy schedule since arriving in Korea on July 3 to promote Deadpool and Wolverine.
After watching professional baseball and attending red-carpet events, they appeared on the South Korean television program Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant and Waterbomb 2024 Music Festival in Seoul.
Reynolds continued to share on Inkigayo, “We do have something we hope will become number one, too. Please watch out for our newest movie, packed with loads of fun, seething with chemistry and dynamic action, coming to theaters this month.”
They signed off with the Inkigayo host with the show’s special signature greeting, adding a special touch to their appearance.
In Deadpool and Wolverine, Deadpool, who had given up on being a hero and was living as a used car dealer, goes looking for Wolverine, the complete opposite of Deadpool, after dealing with an unforeseen crisis. The film is set to release on July 24.
