Nam Tae Hyun, singer and former member of the group WINNER, recently responded to the assault allegations during his relationship reported by his ex-girlfriend Seo Min Jae (now known as Seo Eun Woo).

On July 10, Nam Tae Hyun wrote on social media, “I’ve been aware for some time that my ex has been writing about our past relationship. It’s a shame that she only mentions the faults of the relationship.”

Seo Min Jae recently spoke about the sexual assault she experienced from her ex-boyfriend through her social media account. Her claim to have been threatened with revenge porn drew public attention.

“The content of the posts being uploaded is about private matters that occurred between us 2-3 years ago. We had frequent fights, but I can swear I never committed one-sided assault,” Nam Tae Hyun wrote in response.

He shared that they had apologized and reconciled for the hurtful actions they inflicted on each other, and continued onwards with their relationship. “After I entered a rehabilitation center, we both made efforts to recover. Our relationship continued on and off until recently when I decided that our relationship was not progressing and ended things,” he wrote, confirming his official breakup with Seo Min Jae.

He continued, “I don’t know what kind of posts she will write from her perspective, but I don’t want to expose or respond to anything related to my relationship with my ex. I don’t want to be that person who responds in the same way to her posts because I’m feeling misunderstood and attacked by the public. I deeply regret and reflect on how immaturely I behaved and believe that enduring each day is a step towards improvement,” he added.

Finally, Nam Tae Hyun ended the post with, “I wish for the happiness of a friend who was once my lover, and I hope that she too can let go of any remaining anger and find peace.”

In August 2022, Seo Min Jae posted an exposé on social media, stating that Nam Tae Hyun used Philopon with proof that she knew a used syringe was in her room or company cabinet. She also wrote that he hit her. They were both investigated by the police, and Seo Min Jae was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a 2-year suspended sentence for violating the Drug Control Law early this January.
