On Mnet’s M Countdown 20th anniversary live broadcast special, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon shared the most “memorable” mistake she made on the show involving BTS’s Jungkook.
Alongside RIIZE’s Sohee, ZB1’s Hanbin, and BOYNEXTDOOR’s Jaehyun, Miyeon shared the nerve-wracking moment of Jungkook’s trophy head spinning when she received the award on his behalf for winning first place.
When Jungkook won first place on M Countdown for his hit song “Seven,” the host at the time, Miyeon, accidentally dropped the trophy’s head while receiving it on his behalf last July.
Although Miyeon was flustered, Monsta X’s Shownu held the trophy head alongside her while she bid the audience farewell.
After thanking his fans on the community platform Weverse for the award on M Countdown, Jungkook later mentioned this incident with laughter, sharing that he witnessed the accident live. “I saw the trophy head fly off. Hahaha, thank you again,” He shared, acknowledging Miyeon’s cute mishap.
“It was an interesting experience, to say the least!” Miyeon shared, apologizing to Jungkook again after reminiscing about her mistake.
Although the incident happened a year ago, Miyeon bringing it up in her interview has caused the video to go viral again.
After revisiting Miyeon’s reaction and Jungkook’s response, fans responded with admiration and reacted to how cute it was.
