Jennie’s First Post After Controversy Celebrates A Staff Member’s Birthday

TV Report Views

After a short break, Jennie shared a recent update celebrating a staff member’s birthday on social media.

With the caption “Happy birthday, princess,” Jennie posted a photo of her stylist holding a birthday cake on July 30.

Jennie was faced with controversy after a video surfaced online of her allegedly blowing smoke from her vape towards a staff member who was doing her makeup.

There were various accusations towards Jennie, including indoor smoking, smoking into someone’s face, abuse of power, and questions of her character.

Jennie’s agency apologized on her behalf amidst the controversy, stating, “We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable with Jennie’s behavior in the content released on July 2. Jennie reflects on her indoor smoking and the inconvenience it caused to other staff members. She has reached out directly to the staff to apologize.”

Even though the agency apologized, the controversy negatively impacted Jennie’s reputation. The public will continue to remember Jennie, known for her pure and upright image, smoking and blowing smoke toward a staff member.

Jennie had paused her social media activities until recently, raising questions among viewers online with her first post celebrating a staff member. Some reacted by asking if she was aware of her controversy and commenting that her post seemed too forced.
