Fromis9’s Ji Won Opens Up About Waterbomb Nightmare—Water Guns Aimed Directly at Her Mouth

Singer and actor Rain shared his struggles with fans targeting him with water guns during the Waterbomb festival. Fromis_9 member Ji Won also shared that some fans in the crowd aimed water guns at their mouths during the event.

When fromis_9 members Ji Seon, Ji Won, Sae Rom, Chae Won, and Rain met for the first time, their conversation turned to how they stay in shape. Sae Rom revealed that they focus on maintaining their fitness before a comeback. Chae Won mentioned that Sae Rom and Ji Seon bike home after work and are passionate about exercising. When Rain inquired about weightlifting, Ji Seon surprised him by showing her calloused palms. “I don’t like exercising, but I enjoy physical therapy,” she confessed.

During a quiz segment, they brought out a viral clip of fromis_9’s Na Kyung getting sprayed with water guns during their performance at the Waterbomb Festival. The members commented that the crowd aimed at their faces and enjoyed their suffering.

“When I did Waterbomb, some people aimed for my eyes. It really stung when it got in my eyes,” Rain responded, and the fromis_9 members agreed, “There are just those kinds of people.”

“At first, I politely said, ‘Please don’t do that,’ but later, I had to make a gesture like I was watching them and warned them,” he recounted.

Ji Seon shared the group’s behind-the-scenes story, “Ji Won also went to Waterbomb, and someone sprayed water in her mouth while she was singing.”

“They really sprayed water right in my mouth,” Ji Won said, re-enacting the moment.
