BTS’ Jin worked hard as a laborer on a deserted island, impressing everyone with his down-to-earth charm on the show Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island.

The latest episode of MBC’s Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island featured Jin, Sandeul, Ahn Jung Hwan, Kim Nam Il, and Lee Yeon Bok in a survival challenge on a remote island.

Jin’s appearance drew cheers from the cast, and his decision to choose the Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island as his first project after his military service surprised the production team, according to Boom. Jin, who is close friends with Chef Lee Yeon Bok and has a good relationship with Ahn Jung Hwan, received a warm welcome from the cast.

During the show, the cast members questioned, “Can we really make a global star do this work?” Ahn Jung Hwan responded firmly, “On a deserted island, everyone has to work, no matter who they are. Once you’re on the island, everyone is the same.”

Adding a touch of humor, Jin was immediately told upon arrival, “Unpack your bag. You need to start working for the island.” This left Jin flustered as he admitted, “I just had one day off after my military service.” The others laughed, saying, “You’ll end up working more than just one day off.”

Jin faced another challenge while setting up an eel trap, horrified by the foul smell of the mackerel bait. Despite his discomfort, he proposed a lighthearted punishment, “Let’s have the loser of rock-paper-scissors wipe their nose with their hand once.”

Surprisingly, the final two contestants were Jin and Kim Nam Il. Kim Nam Il, trying to be considerate, said, “Since we’ve come this far, I’ll give you paper.” However, instead of paper, he handed Jin a rock. Jin was stunned and complained, “Didn’t he say he would present a paper?” The cast, including Sandeul, laughed at seeing Jin so upset. To add to the humor, Jin, who had mackerel bait smeared on his upper lip, began to gag.

Later, Jin took on the task of building a bamboo shoe rack. Despite being new to the job, he showed impressive craftsmanship. When Jin struggled with nailing the bamboo, Ahn Jung Hwan stepped in to help. Jin joked, “Why do you always show up when I’m struggling? You should come when I’m doing well,” which had the participants laughing.

Jin also donned a wetsuit and went into the ocean, where he caught a golden abalone. He excitedly exclaimed, “This is a real purple abalone. Now I understand why they emphasized the color. It is that shade when you find it. I’m so happy. Eureka!”

As the day’s chef, Jin attempted to make a cold raw fish soup. He remarked, “My cooking skills are just enough for preparing food for myself. I feel a bit shy about showing it to others, but since I love this dish, I think I can make it delicious with these ingredients.” His confidence was evident.

With Chef Lee Yeon Bok’s guidance, Jin prepared an impressive meal that included cold raw fish soup and abalone kimbap. The cast members responded enthusiastically, diving into the feast with gusto.
