Jin, a member of BTS, recently revisited his old high school and fondly reflected on his school days.

A video titled “Run, Jin”with the theme “Glorious Homecoming”—was released on BTS’s official YouTube channel yesterday.

In the video, Jin visits his former school in his old school uniform. Reflecting on his return after 14 years, Jin laughed and said, “Back in middle and high school, I felt a bit out of place and not very strong. I might have been considered a nerd or an outsider, so I never expected to return here as a superstar.”

Responding to the warm cheers from his younger schoolmates, he jokingly added, “I used to be like that too. Don’t shower me with too much love!”

Jin then visited the school store and was surprised to see a menu board on the wall. He was disappointed that his favorite nostalgic snacks were no longer available and remarked about the rising prices, saying, “Back in my day, these used to just 1,000 won (about $0.75).”

He also reconnected with his former homeroom teacher, greeting them warmly and holding their hand. Upon learning that his teacher had become the vice principal, Jin asked with a smile, “I’ve always wondered, what does the vice principal actually do? The principal gives speeches, but the vice principal doesn’t have a visible role.” This question brought a lot of laughter.

In his old classroom, Jin introduced himself at the teacher’s desk, saying, “My name is Kim Seok Jin. I graduated from this school 14 years ago. I’m 33 now, so I’m a bit older, but I’m re-enrolling in high school at this late age. I’ll graduate today, so please take good care of me.” His clever introduction won over everyone.

Jin took things up a notch by asking, “Who’s the toughest person in this class?” which elicited hearty laughs. He also participated in an arm-wrestling match and joked about the so-called class champion, saying, “How am I supposed to beat this kid at 33? I’m not exactly muscle-bound; I have no muscles at all. You’ll really have trouble when Jungkook shows up,” causing the students to laugh once more.
