Haewon of the group NMIXX recently shared why she looks up to producer Park Jin Young as her role model.
The channel The KStar Next Door released a new video yesterday titled “This time, it’s NMIXX versus NMIXX! They nailed #TheKStarNextDoor4 with their LIVE vocals and talk!”
In the segment, Haewon praised Park Jin Young, saying, “You can’t learn how to manage yourself with such dedication to performing anywhere else. Feel free to disagree with me.” Jonathan then surprised Haewon by saying, “But I heard that only Bae, Sullyoon, and Jiwoo are subscribed to Park Jin Young’s Bubble (fan community platform).”
Bae chuckled as he said, “I canceled my subscription last month. Park Jin Young didn’t message as often as I hoped, so I was disappointed.” Jonathan then asked Sullyoon, “Are you using Bubble because you don’t have Park Jin Young’s phone number?” Sullyoon, looking flustered, replied, “I only subscribed for the first month and then canceled.”
When Kyujin commented on Haewon, “She’s not just a meme expert; she even creates her own memes,” Haewon immediately replied, “Appearance Check!” Jonathan remarked, “I find it impressive. You can make existing things fun, but creating your own is truly admirable. It’s something to be envious of.” He then requested a “The KStar Next Door” version, and Haewon responded, “The KStar Next Door, appearance check today too!”
Kyujin later mentioned to Bae, “It’s been a hot topic that you gave a special gift to NewJeans’ Minji,” and showed a picture. Bae responded, “How did you know it was from me? I never mentioned it,” and explained, “I gave it as a birthday gift along with a cute keychain. It felt like something was missing, so I found a cup from Gyodong that seemed like something Bae Jin Sol would give. I hoped it would remind her of me.”
Bae also shared how she became friends with Minji, saying, “We were in the same high school class. We ran into each other again in the waiting room at a music show, exchanged numbers, and have stayed in touch since then.”
