After completing his military service in June, BTS member Jin shared a surprising sentiment: he dreams of returning to the military.

On August 26, Harper’s BAZAAR Korea uploaded a video titled “The Worldwide Handsome Reigns at Bazaar,” featuring an interview with Jin called “Get To Know Me Dictionary.”

When asked about his nickname, he replied, “In elementary school, I had nicknames like ‘Kimbap’ and ‘Kimchi’ because kids usually make nicknames from your full name. In middle school, high school, and college, I was called ‘Elementary School Kid.'”

Bringing up the nickname “Worldwide Handsome,” he smiled and answered, “I think it’s become more famous than I expected. I made it up on the spot in an embarrassing situation, but many people started calling me that afterward.”

Recalling his experience as a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics, he shared, “I saw an interview where a French fan said, ‘I waited over a year for the military, so what’s the big deal about waiting six hours?’ That stuck with me.”

Famously referring to himself as a tennis expert, Jin embarrassingly admitted, “I recently played tennis with an elementary school student, and I lost 20 to 0. I was so embarrassed that I wondered if I could even call myself an expert, but I don’t have anything else to be an expert at. I’m still the best among my friends.”

Jin exclaimed that dreaming of re-enlisting is a terrible dream. When asked if he dreams of re-enlisting, he admitted that he did dream about being in the military again, but the details are blurry.

He also mentioned, “When people ask me if I remember certain things, I can’t usually recall those moments. So I hope they don’t feel hurt if I can’t remember. I’m happy being in the moment. But I do remember every moment I’ve had with ARMY.”

Finally, when asked what he thinks when he sees himself on camera, he confidently said, “I look good. I’m happy. My face is handsome, and while people look way better than me, I am satisfied with how I look.”
