Amid allegations of school violence against Korean actor Ahn Se Ha, the NC Dinos has canceled his scheduled first pitch for this Sunday’s game.

The NC Dinos announced yesterday, “The first pitch and national anthem performance by Ahn Se Ha, which were set to take place at Changwon NC Park on the 15th, have been canceled by mutual agreement between the team and the agency.”

Originally, Ahn Se Ha was scheduled to perform the national anthem and throw the first pitch at the NC Dinos vs. LG Twins game in Changwon, South Gyeonsang Province, on the 15th. However, allegations of school violence against him surfaced online on Monday, sparking controversy.

An individual claiming to be a middle school classmate of Ahn Se Ha wrote, “During school, Ahn was a major bully at Namsan Middle School, significantly larger than his peers and considered a leader among bullies. He and his gang of bullies, all in their third year of middle school at the time, came to find me and threatened me by poking my stomach with broken glass shards.”

The accuser further explained, “I couldn’t bear the thought of seeing someone who inflicted lasting wounds on me during school throwing the first pitch for my child’s favorite baseball team. I posted this accusation because I couldn’t stand the idea of applauding him in front of my child.”

In response, Ahn Se Ha’s agency, Hunus Entertainment, stated that the allegations were 100% false and vowed to pursue legal action. The situation was further complicated by the emergence of an additional accuser, a current teacher, who claimed, “As a teacher responsible for handling school violence, I have always felt ashamed addressing students about not ignoring bullying. If Ahn Se Ha’s team proceeds with legal action, I am willing to testify in court on behalf of the original accuser.”

Despite these developments, Ahn Se Ha’s side maintains that “all the claims of school violence against Ahn Se Ha are false” and has announced plans for legal action. Amid this controversy, the NC Dinos, who canceled the first pitch event, stated, “Regardless of the facts, we felt it was inappropriate to proceed with the event until the issue involving the actor was resolved.”
