BTS’ Last Adventure: Jimin and Jungkook’s Hilarious Moments Before Going to the Army
TV Report Views
BTS members Jimin and Jungkook shared their thoughts on their last trip together before enlisting in the military.
In the Disney+ original series Are You Sure?!, aired on Thursday, they recounted their experiences from this final journey before their service.
Upon arriving at their last accommodation, Jungkook exclaimed, “I brought a lot of snacks!” and pulled out various treats from his suitcase. He humorously mentioned a stop at a convenience store along the way, saying, “When are we going to eat all this? You always buy so much!” He also noted that they still had sausages from their first day in Sapporo.
Next, they prepared to enter the jacuzzi. After stepping outside, Jungkook remarked, “It’s really cold out here,” Jimin replied, “We have to tough it out for the military.” However, feeling the chill, he quickly retreated inside, bringing some laughter. The jacuzzi was too hot to jump in right away, so they dipped their toes in first but found it challenging to acclimate. The two complained, “This is not the same temperature as yesterday,” yet gradually began to adjust.
Jimin playfully brought snow from the railing, reassuring Jungkook, “You don’t have to be scared,” as he placed snow on his head. Jungkook splashed hot water onto the snow in jest. They decided to play rock-paper-scissors to see who would lie down on the snow. After losing, Jungkook briefly lay on the snow before quickly jumping back into the jacuzzi to warm up.
While Jungkook enjoyed a beer, Jimin lounged and said, “If you watch me travel with Jungkook, you’ll see what I do at home. I just lie around like this every day.” He then got up, grabbed a bottle of whiskey, and joined in. Jimin joked, “Back in the day, my butt was no joke. I’m working hard on it in the military so that you won’t be disappointed. By the time you see this, it’ll be something else. Right now, I’m really pushing myself with Jungkook. I’m tearing it up!” Jungkook added, “That’s right. We’ll be working out hard.”
Jimin expressed, “I want to enjoy as much as I can before going to the military, so I think I’ll be able to relax once I get there. I was worried about how I would feel seeing snow here since it doesn’t excite me much back in Korea, but it’s really nice.”
Jimin revealed he would be a private when Are You Sure?! is released. In response, the production team decided to hold a special screening of the New York episode for the two who would miss the broadcast. As they watched the video, both laughed at a scene where Jungkook capsized while canoeing. Reflecting on the moment, Jimin said, “Even I look pretty annoying in that.” The edited footage also included a segment about Jimin’s gastroenteritis and an incident where Jungkook accidentally elbowed him. After watching the edit, Jungkook remarked, “It looks fun,” adding, “We were really worried while filming. I wasn’t sure if it would turn out okay or if it would even be edited properly.”
The following day, Jungkook and Jimin complained of muscle soreness from skiing. After finishing their last meal in Sapporo, the two headed to the airport. Jimin shared a message he received from Jin, who said, “He dreamed that I was enlisting.” Jungkook replied, “That’s not a dream; it’s reality. Why doesn’t he dream about me? We’re enlisting together.” He added, “Jin will be discharged, and we still have a year left,” emphasizing the reality of their situation.
Trying to lift their spirits, they found it hard to get excited, possibly because it was their last day of travel. Eventually, they opened the window to let in the cold air, refreshing themselves. Jungkook said, “Let’s get stronger. We have to endure. It’s going to be cold in the military, too. What a romantic thought!”
In an interview, Jungkook shared, “This trip has been amazing. I think it’s the best one I’ve had so far,” recalling moments spent with Jimin in New York, Jeju, and Sapporo. He added, “It felt like a trip, but also not quite—a whirlwind that made it fun.” Jimin reflected, “It was a short trip but very impactful. Honestly, these kinds of experiences can start to feel like a hassle, but this time, I really immersed myself in the emotions.”
