Singer Kim Jaejoong is making moves to recruit MAMAMOO’s Wheein, who has recently become a free agent. His YouTube channel, Jae Friends, released a video titled “Talent Recruitment Prep Complete Ep.55 | Whee In Kim Jaejoong.”
In the video, Wheein and Kim Jaejoong were surprised at meeting each other for the first time. Wheein shared, “Jaejoong is close with my older brother, Jung Si Hyun, who works at the same company. My company is just five minutes from my house, so I see him often.”
Kim Jaejoong inquired, “Haven’t you recently switched companies?” Wheein responded, “My contract with the new agency has also ended, so I’m a free agent.” Immediately, Kim Jaejoong offered, “Come join our company.” He emphasized, “We operate globally and provide excellent support. There are no limits here. Our company is fantastic.” Wheein then joked, “You have a wild look in your eyes,” asking, “Are you serious?” Kim Jaejoong assured her, “I don’t lie,” encouraging her to consider the offer.
Wheein shared that she has sung many TVXQ songs, saying, “I’ve been best friends with my fellow member Hwasa since we were young. We used to audition together and often sang “Love In The Ice,” with me taking Jaejoong’s part.” She also mentioned that they frequently sang “Rising Sun” at karaoke, adding, “We performed it as our final song, and I have videos of us singing it together with the members.”
Kim Jaejoong noted that Wheein and Hwasa have a similar singing style. Wheein replied, “When we were trainees, our voices were indistinguishable. Now that we’ve each developed our unique musical styles, we’ve changed a lot, but when we were younger, we sounded the same.”
