Korean Singer Kang Daniel shared his thoughts ahead of his upcoming military enlistment. On Sunday, he appeared on Power FM’s Cultwo Show and announced his enlistment in 2025.
At 28 years old, Kang Daniel is preparing to begin his military service and expresses his feelings by saying, “I’m finally going.” He also shared an anecdote about his earlier attempt to enlist: “I tried to join at 19 by dropping out of high school and taking the GED, but there were so many applicants that I got turned away.”
In 2019, Kang Daniel founded his entertainment company, KONNECT Entertainment, but faced significant challenges after falling victim to a fraud scheme that cost him 1.7 billion won (approximately $1.3 million). He recalled, “I didn’t leave the house for three months. I stopped exercising and focused solely on music production and gaming, which caused me to lose a lot of weight.”
After a forced hiatus due to issues with his agency, Kang Daniel has recently made a comeback with the release of his new album, ACT. He has also participated in various entertainment programs, including Mr. House Husband and Stage Fighter.
Kang Daniel is set to meet his fans at his solo concert, the 2024 KANG DANIEL CONCERT [ACT], scheduled for October. He expressed his excitement, stating, “I performed at Jangchung Gymnasium two years ago, so it feels even more meaningful to return to the same venue.” He also shared his confidence, saying, “Over the past year and three months, I’ve focused on improving my vocal skills, so I believe fans will experience something new.”
