He’s Back! Minhyuk’s First Event After Military Service is a Must-See!

TV Report Views

Minhyuk, a member of the popular K-pop group Monsta X, is preparing to reconnect with his fans after completing his military service.

Minhyuk will officially finish one year and six months of duty on Thursday. He enlisted in April of last year through South Korea’s Army’s 5th Infantry Division training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. After five weeks of military training, he was assigned to the 5th Infantry Division to continue his service.

Immediately following his discharge, Minhyuk will hold a fan event on Sunday, 2024 MINHYUK Fan Event 5rae, at the YES24 Live Hall. This event is free for all Monbebe, the name of Monsta X’s dedicated fanbase.

Known for his deep affection for his fans, Minhyuk’s choice to hold a fan event as his first official appearance post-service reflects his commitment to connecting with his supporters.

Fans eagerly anticipate how Minhyuk will showcase his growth during his time away. Monsta X is currently navigating the military enlistment process, with leader Shownu being the first to enlist. Shownu served as a social service worker from 2021 and was discharged in 2023.

Minhyuk will be the second member of Monsta X to return. Following him, Joohoney will be discharged on January 23, 2025, and Kihyun on February 21, 2025. Hyungwon will complete his military service on May 13, 2025. The youngest member, I.M., has yet to enlist, and his enlistment date has not been announced.

As Monsta X faces a nearly four-year hiatus from full group activities due to the consecutive enlistments, anticipation is growing for a complete group comeback before I.M.’s enlistment.
