Jessi, embroiled in a fan assault incident, appeared at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul accompanied by her attorney. She attended the police station for questioning yesterday. Before the investigation, Jessi told reporters, “I hope they find the person who hit me quickly and that they receive punishment. I will share everything that happened.”
Jessi emphasized that she had never seen the assailant before the incident but did not respond to questions such as “What is your relationship with the assailant?” and “Why didn’t you intervene?” She also apologized to the minor victim of the assault, saying, “I’m so sorry,” before entering the police station for questioning.
The incident occurred on September 29 in Apgujeong, Seoul, where Jessi’s entourage assaulted a victim after asking her for an autograph. Jessi faced controversy for leaving the scene of the assault without taking any significant action.
Jessi stated after the incident became public, “I was caught off guard by the sudden situation and could not pay careful attention to the fan. Regardless of the circumstances, I am morally responsible for the unforeseen harm caused.” However, in an interview with JTBC’s current affairs program, Crime Chief, the victim expressed his feelings: “It seems like Jessi isn’t truly remorseful, and I think using the phrase moral responsibility lacks sincerity.”
The victim also claimed that another member of Jessi’s entourage, producer Koala, assaulted him, stating, “Even when the assailant hit my stomach twice, he kept hitting my head.” The victim has filed a complaint against Jessi and her entourage for assault, and the police questioned the assailant and the producer as suspects on Friday.
