BPM Entertainment, home to artists like Lee Seung Gi, Taemin, and Lee Mujin, is under scrutiny following a personal data leak. The parent company, One Hundred, has issued an official statement regarding the situation.

In their statement, One Hundred explained that a manager from BPM Entertainment had secured small loans from over 40 illegal lending companies, using contact information stored on his phone as collateral. When he failed to repay these loans, the lenders began contacting individuals whose numbers he had provided, making threats. As a result, the company terminated the manager’s employment on September 30 after the loan sharks initially reached out.

One Hundred further noted, “We had hoped this matter would resolve itself, but today, the illegal lenders contacted us again, hurling insults and demanding we address the financial issues on behalf of the manager. We realized this situation could not be handled internally and felt it necessary to disclose all details to prevent innocent victims.”

The statement revealed that the manager had shared around 1,200 phone numbers with these lenders, including contacts of BPM employees, affiliated artists, and individuals from previous workplaces within the industry.

One Hundred stated, “The illegal lending companies are still making threatening phone calls and sending messages to employees of BPM Entertainment from his previous workplace. As time passes, they will likely reach out to other numbers stored on his phone.” They added, “We take this situation very seriously and are preparing legal action against the illegal lenders, having already reported them to law enforcement.”

The company expressed concern for its employees, stating that many are experiencing significant distress due to the ongoing threats, which are impacting their ability to perform everyday duties. They urged anyone receiving threatening communications regarding these loans to report them to the authorities. One Hundred also apologized to those whose personal information has been compromised due to the former employee’s actions, assuring that they are committed to resolving the situation.

BPM Entertainment operates under One Hundred, led by MC Mong, and is home to artists including Lee Seung Gi, Lee Mujin, Taemin, and Ha Sung Woon.
