Singer Sunwoo Jung A praised IU’s personality and shared a heartwarming story from her personal experience during her guest appearance on the YouTube channel Jae Friends on Thursday.

During the show, Kim Jae Joong expressed surprise upon learning that Sunwoo Jung A had produced 2NE1’s “It Hurts.” She explained, “At that time, I was really into Alicia Keys, so I wrote it while playing the piano with that vibe,” adding, “We rearranged this song with an R&B feel, and the co-producer wrote the lyrics. I learned a lot about making music more accessible to the public.” Sunwoo then treated fans to her rendition of “It Hurts.”

When asked about the most impressive artist she’s worked with, Sunwoo named IU. “Her warmth? The kindness she shows when interacting with people,” she said. Sunwoo candidly admitted, “I struggle with that. I’m naturally blunt and don’t show kindness unless I consider someone close to me. I see that as one of my flaws. But IU, despite being much younger than me, is kind to everyone. I realized she’s truly remarkable.”

Recalling her experience directing IU, Sunwoo shared, “I was so happy while directing her. Her acting skills are incredibly expressive. She truly became one when I asked her to portray a haughty house cat. And when I asked her to smile slightly, her voice immediately took on a smiling tone.”

Sunwoo Jung A also confessed to being a fan of Seo In Guk, revealing, “I was so impressed by him that I wrote and released a song about it. Seo In Guk even permitted his image to be used in the music video.”
