Singer Ben (real name Lee Eun Young) will share her emotional journey following her divorce in an upcoming episode of All By Myself, airing on TV CHOSUN. In a preview aired Tuesday, the South Korean singer opened up about her challenges after ending her three-year marriage.

As the “Queen of OSTs” for her contributions to popular drama soundtracks, Ben introduced herself on the show, saying, “I’m Ben, the mother of two-year-old Ria.” However, her tone shifted as she revealed, “After the divorce, I felt like I had died. I was completely gone.” She also shared that she had struggled with depression during this time.

Ben tearfully confessed in a decisive moment captured on the show, “I tried my best, too.” While gripping the steering wheel, she added, “The one thing you should never do is lie.”

Ben debuted in 2010 as a member of Bebe Mignon before launching her solo career in 2012. She quickly became known for her hauntingly beautiful voice, lending her talents to the soundtracks of popular TV dramas, including TVN’s Mr. Sunshine, Hotel Del Luna, Another Miss Oh, and Because This Is My First Life

In 2019, Ben publicly confirmed her relationship with Lee Wook, the chairman of the W Foundation. The couple married in August 2020, and in 2023, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ria.

However, news broke in February 2024 that Ben had filed for divorce. Her agency, BRD Entertainment, confirmed the split, stating, “Ben has indeed divorced Chairman Lee Wook. She made this decision due to issues on her husband’s part. Ben will retain custody of their child.”

For those interested in Ben’s emotional journey post-divorce, her story will be featured on the next episode of All By Myself, airing on November 12 on TV CHOSUN.
