Actress Kim Ha Neul recently made a surprising comparison after watching singer Park Jin Young’s latest music video. She noted that he gave off a Leonardo DiCaprio vibe.

On Thursday, Kim and actor Cha Tae Hyun appeared on the YouTube channel J.Y. Park for a reaction video featuring Park Jin Young’s “Easy Lover” music video.

Before watching the video, Park expressed some nerves, joking, “My acting career is on the line here. I’m wondering if I can be your colleague again.”

Once the video wrapped up, Kim immediately praised the song, saying, “The music is amazing,” and complimented the performances of the other actors, Lee Yi Kyung and Cha Joo Young. However, she humorously sidestepped, commenting on Park Jin Young’s acting. Cha Tae Hyun, however, was more generous in his assessment, saying, “It’s convincing. Not bad at all.” He added, “In the final scene, when his face shows more contours, I thought, ‘He could totally pull off roles like that.'”

When Park Jin Young mentioned, “In my mind, I had Park Hae Il from Decision to Leave,” both Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Ha Neul paused, seemingly unsure how to respond. Eventually, Kim said, “Overall, it doesn’t take away from the performance at all,” while Cha jokingly added, “There’s absolutely nothing wrong. But if you’re going to say, ‘Please cast me again,’ maybe we should reshoot it just a little.”

Park asked, “Don’t you think the director would consider casting him?” and added with a laugh, “Even Lee Byung Hun was hesitant to answer.”

Kim Ha Neul commented, “The best acting happens when you’re singing,” pointing to the ending scene. Then, she surprised everyone by adding, “But he kind of gives off a Leonardo DiCaprio vibe,” though she seemed to question her own words, asking, “Why is that?” Cha Tae Hyun agreed, and upon hearing this, Park Jin Young was pleased. He excitedly responded, “Just release this part!” I thoroughly enjoy the compliment.

Continuing the lighthearted banter, Cha said, “As you age, your face gets more contours, and this expression really works for you. You could even pull off a brief appearance as a killer.” Kim jokingly warned, “Don’t give him false hope.”

Park, playing along, responded, “I won’t do it. I’d turn it down even if you offered me the lead role. I’m strictly supporting cast material.” He laughed, “Don’t expect much, but at least I give off those DiCaprio vibes.”
