Actress Go Youn Jung recently shared her quirky passion for sleep in an exclusive interview with Elle Korea, published on Monday.

In the interview, the rising star revealed that sleep has become an obsession for her lately. “I don’t get much time to rest, so I’ve been trying to figure out how to maximize the limited hours of sleep I do get,” she explained. With a laugh, she added, “When I do sleep, I’m out cold—no bathroom breaks, no waking up. But I don’t usually sleep that long. Maybe 13 hours?” Her candid and humorous comment brought smiles to those around her.

Go Youn Jung also revealed a unique bedtime routine: “I don’t really have a set routine, but one thing I do is set multiple alarms before bed. I set about five alarms, three minutes apart, and by the time the fifth one goes off, I’m usually up.” She joked, “It’s exhausting, but I must get up and tackle my schedule.”

In July, Go Youn Jung won the Best New Actress award at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards for her performance in the Disney+ original series Moving. Reflecting on her win, she humbly stated, “I see this award as motivation to keep working harder, and I’m committed to doing just that.”

In addition to her recent award, Go Youn Jung has been cast in Wise Resident Life, a highly anticipated spin-off of the popular K-drama Hospital Playlist. The series, which will explore the real-life dynamics and friendships among medical staff at a university hospital, has generated significant excitement. However, its premiere has been postponed indefinitely.

Looking ahead, Go Youn Jung is preparing for her next major project: the Netflix series Can This Love Be Translated? She’ll star alongside an all-star cast that includes Kim Seon Ho, Fukushi Sota, Lee Yi Dam, and Choi Woo Sung.

Go Youn Jung made her acting debut in 2019 with the tvN drama He Is Psychometric. Since then, she has become one of Korea’s most in-demand young actresses, earning widespread praise for her roles in hit dramas such as Sweet Home, Law School, Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow, and Moving

With each project, Go Youn Jung continues to impress audiences with her versatility and depth, making her one of the brightest rising stars in the industry.
