Actress Choi Kang Hee recently opened up about her diverse career experiences, from working as a sanitation worker to managing a fresh produce section, shedding light on her motivations behind these unconventional roles.

On Wednesday, Choi Kang Hee posted a new video on her YouTube channel titled “For Those Considering a Career Change: How Many Episodes Would My Life’s Drama Have?”

In a live stream celebrating her upcoming milestone of 100,000 subscribers, Choi Kang Hee reflected on highlights from over 40 of her videos. “I vividly remember those moments when I was most genuine,” she said. “Even though it’s only been a year, I feel like my authenticity really came through more in the earlier episodes.”

Reflecting on her time experimenting with different careers, Choi Kang Hee shared, “Out of the 41 jobs I’ve tried, being a fresh produce manager was the standout experience. During that episode, I coined my first catchphrase for my show Me Too, Choi Kang Hee: ‘Do you know when a person is happiest? It’s when I’m happy,'” she said with a laugh.

During her break from acting, Choi Kang Hee embraced various roles, including sanitation worker, fisherman, and housekeeper. “This break allowed me to observe people from all walks of life,” she explained. Everyone works for different reasons. Some work to build a future with a partner and others work to sustain themselves while chasing their dreams. Then there are those who work to provide their families with a simple, happy life.”

Choi Kang Hee continued, “I’ve always wondered if people are delighted with their work or have other dreams they’re pursuing. I took on these challenges to discover my passions and wanted to share that journey with others. My goal was to inspire and empower people.” She revealed this was the driving force behind launching her YouTube channel Me Too, Choi Kang Hee.

As she gears up for the second season of her YouTube series, Choi Kang Hee announced she’ll be taking a short break. “I’ve had the privilege of connecting with so many amazing people through this platform, and now I’m taking time to reflect. But I’ll check in with an Update Log once a month to stay in touch with all of you,” she shared.

In closing, she expressed her gratitude to her growing audience: “Thank you so much for all your support. I’m not disappearing completely, so please stay subscribed. I’ll come back stronger with Season 2.”
