Actor Joo Sang Wook recently revealed the heartfelt reason behind his decision to marry his wife, Cha Ye Ryun. The couple tied the knot in 2017 and are proud parents to one daughter.

A new video, “Cha Ye Ryun and Mr. Joo’s Travel Vlog in Paris,” was uploaded to Cha Ye Ryun’s YouTube channel on Wednesday.

The video captures the couple enjoying a romantic getaway in Paris. In a lighthearted moment, Cha Ye Ryun asks, “Was it love at first sight for you?” Joo Sang Wook humorously responds, “Wasn’t it you who fell for me right away? I always joke with people that you chased me until I agreed to marry you. I just laugh it off when I hear that.”

With a playful grin, Cha Ye Ryun responds, “No way! I didn’t fall for you at first sight. When did that happen, I wonder?” She laughs, adding, “We didn’t have some grand Let’s date conversation. Before we were official, you always invited me to watch shows on your giant 100-inch TV.”

Realizing the playful misunderstanding, Joo Sang Wook joked, “I can see how people might misinterpret that. They might think, So, that’s how you win someone over! But it wasn’t like that at all.” Cha, still teasing him, retorted, “No, you liked me from the very beginning.”

Eventually, Joo Sang Wook opened up about his deeper feelings, saying, “The decision to marry wasn’t something dramatic like in a movie. It happened gradually. As we spent more time together, I realized parts of you didn’t match the image I initially had. That made me want to take care of you even more.” His heartfelt words shed light on the genuine emotions behind his decision.

He continued, “I felt like I couldn’t leave you on your own. I realized someone as smart and strong as me needed to be by your side. It all started with this overwhelming sense that I had to protect you.” Joo Sang Wook shared his deep affection for Cha Ye Ryun, expressing how much she meant to him.

Cha Ye Ryun, visibly moved by his words, responded, “Did you really? Now you’re going to make me cry,” as she became emotional.
