During a recent appearance, BTS member Jin surprised everyone by showcasing his surprising strength, defeating the burly Yoo Min Sang in an arm-wrestling match.
The official BTS channel uploaded a “K-Mukbang” video on Tuesday as part of the Run Jin series. Jin humorously expressed his longing for his bandmates from the start by shouting, “Run, Bangtan,” instead of his name.
Jin visited the JDB Entertainment headquarters, where he was warmly greeted by Yoo Min Sang, Kim Min Kyung, and Hong Yoon Hwa—all well-known figures in the Korean mukbang scene. During the meet-up, Jin admired the trio, saying, “I watched your videos so much while I was in the military. You guys are everywhere.” Kim Min Kyung and Hong Yoon Hwa, clearly smitten, responded, “We can only see your face.” Hong Yoon Hwa, a well-known ARMY in the entertainment industry, particularly expressed her excitement.
In a playful exchange, Jin jokingly said, “If I win the mukbang competition, you’ll have to take down your sign. “Hong Yoon Hwa eagerly agreed, saying, “I’ll do it!”
The competitive spirit kicked in as Yoo Min Sang, ready for some fun rivalry, remarked, “I feel a bit competitive. Can’t I think that way as a fellow man?” Jin, ever the tease, shot back, “So you don’t like BTS? You hate us?” Yoo Min Sang’s flustered reaction had everyone in the room laughing.
Jin, always warm and gracious, added, “I feel a sense of familiarity since I see you often on TV,” endearing himself even more to the group.
The day’s highlight came when Jin faced off in an arm-wrestling match against Yoo Min Sang. As Hong Yoon Hwa and Kim Min Kyung provided clearly biased commentary, Jin exclaimed, “It’s been a while since I’ve received such special treatment during a shoot. I’m so happy!”
Jin pulled off a surprising victory with high energy, defeating Yoo Min Sang with impressive strength. Afterward, he humbly remarked, “I might have played a bit unfairly,” keeping the mood light and playful.
