In a revealing interview, hip-hop artist and entrepreneur Jay Park recently revealed his values, leadership approach, and challenges.
On Thursday, Singles, a South Korean lifestyle magazine that celebrates empowered individuals, released an exclusive video interview featuring Jay Park, the CEO of More Vision. During the candid conversation with the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Jay Park shared insights into his leadership style, entrepreneurial journey, and industry leader challenges.
When asked about his leadership philosophy, Jay Park emphasized that responsibility lies at the core of his approach. “When things go wrong, you have to step up, make sacrifices, and put in the effort to make it right,” he explained. “That’s why I’m able to continue in this leadership role. I’m ready for that responsibility. And if someone else can do the job better than me, I’d have no problem passing it on.”
Jay Park’s words reflect his strong sense of duty and accountability as a leader, highlighting the importance of taking ownership of one’s actions and decisions in business and personal life.
He also touched on one of his traits: his ability to treat people without judgment. He acknowledged that while this open-mindedness has helped him form meaningful relationships and work with incredible people, it has also made him vulnerable to those who may take advantage of his trust. “Because I don’t judge people, I’ve met a lot of good ones and worked with many great individuals,” Jay Park said. “But being too open also means there are people who take advantage of me, and I’ve been hurt quite a few times.”
Despite this, Jay Park remains resilient and values the lessons learned from these experiences. “In the end, even if you get hurt through your interactions with different people, what matters most is bouncing back quickly and learning from it,” he shared. His focus on recovery and growth in the face of challenges highlights the importance of resilience in his personal and professional life.
Looking ahead, Jay Park discussed his new venture into idol production. “It wasn’t something I initially considered, but after a decade in the business and establishing myself as an artist, I felt ready to take on this challenge,” he said. Jay Park expressed excitement about the opportunity, stating, “I’ve always stayed true to myself, but I’ve also surprised people along the way. I want to continue creating the unexpected while staying authentic to who I am.”
Reflecting on his personal journey, Jay Park shared his thoughts on life’s biggest challenge. “The biggest challenge in my life is simply living it,” he said. “Tmustlebook for life. You must go with them and do your best within your sphere.”
In a lighthearted moment, Jay Park compared his life to an autobiography, joking that he’s currently on “page 37” because he’s 37 years old. He wrapped up the conversation with a simple piece of wisdom: “Simplifying your life is the key to finding peace.”
In other news, fans were caught off guard by rumors of tension between Jay Park and fellow artist Jessi, who were previously signed under More Vision. While the two denied discord, Jessi’s departure from the agency earlier this year surprised many in the industry.
