On Thursday, a video titled “BangPink in Your Area 🎶 | BIGBANG and BLACKPINK Crossover” was uploaded to the YouTube channel Zip Daesung. It features an unexpected but exciting encounter between BLACKPINK’s Rosé and BIGBANG’s Daesung.

In the episode, Daesung reflected on his relationship with Rosé; both had their careers at YG Entertainment. “It’s a bit complicated,” he admitted. “We’ve known each other for years, but with our busy schedules, we didn’t get to make many memories together.” He continued, “The one memory that stands out is when BLACKPINK was just starting. I happened to be in Japan for their promotional activities, so I was able to watch them perform.” Daesung laughed, adding, “We’re not strangers, but we’re not exactly close either. I wasn’t sure how to approach this interview.”

When Rosé walked in, Daesung greeted her enthusiastically, instantly switching to his role as the host. Rosé playfully poked fun at Daesung’s lack of knowledge about mixing the perfect somaek—a Korean cocktail made with soju and beer. “You don’t know how to make a somaek? I’m shocked!” she joked before taking over the drink and mixing herself. She also quipped, “Oh no, my mom will be upset. She always tells me not to drink on TV.” Despite her initial reservations, Rosé couldn’t hide her excitement, adding, “But this is the first time I’m drinking since I came back to Korea!”

Later, Daesung shared a recent encounter with Rosé, saying, “Remember when we met at that event in Incheon after the filming was confirmed? You were kind enough to ask for my number.” Rosé laughed, “Yeah, I think we were all a bit tipsy, so we might have acted like we were closer than we really were. You gave me some advice, and I was like, Oh, that’s advice! We exchanged a couple of texts after that.” She added, “I specifically wanted to be on this show. I thought it would be fun since we both come from the same company.”

When the topic shifted to her alcohol tolerance, Rosé hesitated, glancing around at the familiar faces on set. Finally, she shared, “I’m usually the last one standing. As for my drinking habits? I turn into a cleaning machine when I get home.”

Rosé laughed, “I’m always surprised when I wake up after a night out. I find flowers in vases, recycling sorted, my phone charged, and even my clothes for the next day laid out. Isn’t that wild?” She explained, reflecting on her behavior, “I think when I drink, I feel so good that I turn into a four-year-old. That’s when I tackle all the chores I’ve been putting off.”
