Min Hee Jin, the former CEO of ADOR, is set to make her first public appearance since announcing the termination of NewJeans’ contract, which has drawn significant attention. On Friday, she will be a featured speaker at the Women Who Became Genres talk event, presented by Hanwha General Insurance and Fol:in.
The event provides a platform for pioneering women to share their insights and experiences about discovering their unique paths in various fields.
The impressive lineup of speakers includes political scientist Dr. Kim Ji Yoon, CEO of FemTech startup Arooo Lee Myung Jin, CEO of INERTIA Inc. Kim Hyo Yi, acclaimed screenwriter Jeong Seo Kyeong, makeup artist Risabae, author Kim Ha Na, marketer Jo Ah Ran from Minumsa, and content creator Kim Gyeo Ul.
Min Hee Jin’s talk, “Planner Min Hee Jin: Breaking Boundaries to Become a K-Pop Genre,” is scheduled for 8 PM. This follows her appearance in September at the 2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel event, where she discussed The Producer Who Breaks the Rules of K-Pop: Min Hee Jin’s Freestyle.
On Monday, Dispatch reported on allegations involving Min Hee Jin, linking her to NewJeans’ surprise YouTube live broadcast, member Hanni’s appearance at a national audit, and the recent press conference announcing the contract termination. The ongoing conflict between ADOR and NewJeans continues to capture public attention.
Meanwhile, Min Hee Jin resigned from her position as an internal director at ADOR on November 20. On November 28, NewJeans held an emergency press conference, stating, “ADOR has neither the will nor the ability to protect NewJeans. Since HYBE and the current ADOR are at fault, we are choosing to leave,” and officially announced the termination of their exclusive contract. However, ADOR maintains that the contract with NewJeans remains valid.
