Actor Lee Jong Suk is set to star alongside Shin Min A as a married couple in the upcoming drama The Remarried Empress. According to a report from JTBC Entertainment News, Lee Jong Suk has been cast in the male lead role as the prince of the Western Kingdom in this highly anticipated series.

The Remarried Empress is based on the popular romance fantasy web novel of the same name, which has also been adapted into a webtoon. The story centers on Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, who chooses to divorce her emperor husband after discovering his plans to make his mistress the new empress. Determined to reclaim her position, Navier sets out to become empress elsewhere, setting the stage for a gripping tale of love, power, and revenge.

Lee Jong Suk will portray Heinrey Alles Lazlo, the crown prince of the Western Kingdom, a nation with economic and military power rivaling that of the Eastern Empire. His character falls for Navier, and he marries her after ascending to the throne.

With Shin Min A already confirmed to play Navier, fans eagerly anticipate the on-screen chemistry between them as they portray the royal couple.

In addition to The Remarried Empress, Lee Jong Suk has a busy year ahead. He will also star in the upcoming tvN legal drama Seochodong, marking his full return to the small screen. Set in the heart of Seoul’s law firm district, Seochodong follows the lives of associate attorneys working in different firms within the same building. Lee Jong Suk will play Ahn Joo Hyung, a seasoned ninth-year associate who brings a calm yet sharp-witted approach to the modern-day legal profession.
