The (G)I-DLE members have officially confirmed their contract renewals and revealed plans for their upcoming world tour. To celebrate, the group recently shared a behind-the-scenes video on its official YouTube channel, titled “2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [i-DOL].”

In the newly released video, the members take on a series of fun missions to mark the end of their world tour. Minnie, tasked with pinching Miyeon’s cheeks, comments, “It’s not that bad, but it’s not easy either.” She adds, “The least noticeable way to do it is probably on stage,” and begins to plan her approach.

Soyeon drew the mission to show Shuhua cute behavior and immediately went over to perform the adorable task. She completed it first and jokingly said, “I’m so good, I surprised myself!”

Shuhua was given the mission of getting a thank you from Yuqi. At first, she thought it would be easy, but upon seeing Yuqi’s name, she joked, “This might be impossible.” Miyeon’s mission was to make Minnie laugh, to which she confidently responded, “Who decides the criteria? I’ll be the judge.” Lastly, Yuqi was tasked with giving Soyeon a 30-second massage.

While tackling their fun missions, the members also prepared for their final performance in Sydney. Miyeon, admiring Soyeon’s new bob haircut, suggested, “I bet you’d look cute with space buns, too.” Soyeon replied, “I was actually planning to try that later. It’s uncanny how Miyeon always says exactly what I’m thinking.”

Soyeon reflected on the group’s bond, saying, “It always feels like we’re perfectly in sync, even though we’re so different. Some parts of us are completely opposite, but we have so much in common. We’re at opposite ends, but it works because we fit together like a heart shape.” Her words deeply touched Miyeon. Soyeon expressed affection for the entire group, imagining the members placed inside a heart shape, symbolizing their strong connection.

After wrapping up its final world tour performance, the members shared heartfelt thanks with their fans in Sydney, saying, “Our three-month world tour has come to an end.” Soyeon enthusiastically added, “Let’s return to Sydney next year!” All the members successfully completed their missions and were rewarded for their efforts. During a celebratory dinner marking their tour’s conclusion, Miyeon promised: “Let’s do this together again in the future.”

In related news, Soyeon publicly announced the group’s contract renewal during her acceptance speech at the 2024 Melon Music Awards (MMA) on November 30. The announcement came as the group celebrated their success at the prestigious awards ceremony.

Soyeon also shared her feelings on social media on December 1, expressing, “We all had the same thought about staying together as five. I’m so happy and proud to know that I can continue being the leader of (G)I-DLE for a long time.” The heartfelt message reflects the group’s strong bond and commitment to their fans, promising even more to come in the future.
