Actress Jung Eun Chae is enjoying the fruits of her hard work following the success of her recent drama, Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born, which has led to a flood of new advertising offers.

On Wednesday, Uhm Jung Hwa’s YouTube channel released a highly anticipated video titled “I Asked Jung Eun Chae About the Mysterious Ok Gyeong,” sparking further excitement among fans.

In the latest episode of Uhm Jung Hwa’s “And-ing,” Jung Eun Chae debuted as the first guest. Reflecting on her first meeting with Uhm Jung Hwa, Jung shared, “When I first saw her, she exuded a diva energy. But what stood out even more was her warm, welcoming vibe. I was so eager to talk to her.”

Jung Eun Chae, who captured widespread attention with her portrayal of the determined and strong-willed Prince Ok Gyeong, the leader of the Maeran Theater Company in Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born, shared some exciting updates with her fans. “Now that the drama has wrapped up, I’ve been busy shooting commercials and doing photoshoots. But this is just the beginning,” she revealed.

The actress also opened up about the behind-the-scenes effort that went into preparing for her role. “The national opera stage was challenging for everyone involved,” she explained. “The concept of an all-female national opera was new to us, even for those with stage experience. We had to master not only the singing and dancing but also capture the essence of the era. It was intense and required long hours of practice. We started rehearsals three to four months before filming began and kept practicing throughout the entire shoot, almost as if we were living the life of a real theater troupe.”

When asked if she ever hesitated to take the role, Jung Eun Chae admitted, “It wasn’t hesitation—I was just surprised. I was curious about the director’s reasoning for choosing me for such a unique character, and I was a little nervous. But the director assured me that I could bring the character to life with a little physical transformation.”

Jung Eun Chae also revealed her initial doubts about her appearance in the role. For Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born, she debuted a bold new short haircut, something she had never tried before. “I honestly didn’t think a shortcut would suit me. I’d always had long hair, and people often told me it looked good. But I was surprisingly comfortable when I tried the short style for the character. And to my surprise, everyone said it looked amazing on me!”
