As 2023 draws to a close, K-pop fans worldwide are preparing for an exciting voting battle to determine the top-ranked artists of 2024.
Global fandom platform UPICK has announced that voting for the highly anticipated 2024 Best Position Awards will officially open at noon on December 16.
This year’s nominees are drawn from the winners of UPICK’s previous Best Position polls in categories like vocals, rap, dance, and visuals. The impressive roster of artists has already sparked major excitement among K-pop fans worldwide.
Among the nominees are past UPICK Position Awards champions such as Kim Ji Woong of ZEROBASEONE, BTS’s J-Hope, and ENHYPEN’s Ni Ki. Other standout contenders include Sehun of EXO, Jeno of NCT DREAM, Pharita of BABYMONSTER, and Lisa of BLACKPINK.
One of the top contenders is Kim Ji Woong of ZEROBASEONE, who took first place in the earlier half of the year. Fans are eager to see if he can maintain his winning streak in this year’s voting.
The 2024 Position Awards will be held on the UPICK app in tournament format. Preliminary voting will begin on December 16 and continue through December 26. During this period, 101 nominees will be divided into four groups, with the top two advancing to the final round.
The final round will feature 12 nominees, split into two groups, A and B. Voting for the finals will run from December 27 to January 6.
After the final voting concludes, the championship round will immediately follow. The ultimate winner will receive a global advertising package, including five ads broadcast simultaneously in South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand. Additionally, if the winner surpasses 20 million votes, they will be awarded an extra prize—an ad displayed on the iconic Times Square billboard in New York City.
While voting for the Best Position Awards opens on December 16, UPICK currently hosts two other major fan-driven events: the 2024 Pick of the Year Finals and the 2024 Global Hot Character Awards Finals.
