If we were to name the most crucial weapon in the current warfare trends, many people would likely think of drones. They can monitor enemy movements and strategies with their small, unseen, unheard size. Also, if necessary, operators can equip them with weapons or even program them to self-destruct for attacks. This was evident from the fact that both sides actively used drones in the Ukrainian war.

Turkey, the drone powerhouse that produced Bayraktar, the most powerful drone highly praised by Ukraine, recently unveiled its new drone model. Look at the Anka-3 that applies stealth technology.

Anka-3 has a maximum cruising speed of 460 kph (285.83 mph) and a top speed of 800 kph (497.1 mph), making it possible to deploy quickly to operational areas. It can perform operations for up to 10 hours at an altitude of 12 km (7.46 miles). Moreover, it can carry a total weight of 1,200 kg (2645.5 lbs), allowing operators to equip it with high-resolution electro-optical cameras, radars, electronic warfare systems, and even missiles or bombs.

Notably, the design of the Anka-3 adopted the unique jet fighter design of stealth aircraft. This is a trend in the world drone market, adopted by Northrop Grumman’s X-47B in the U.S., the Neuron drone in Europe, and the Hunter drone in Russia.

Drone Technology on Par with Iran

Turkey has achieved significant success in the global defense market through the Bayraktar drone. Its excellent performance and affordable price played an important role in Ukraine’s counterattack against the Russian military. It is even said to have performed outstandingly, making Russia’s primary drone electronic warfare system useless.
