Found dead at the trailhead of Cheonggyesan Mountain in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do
A suicide note was found in the deceased teacher’s belongings
Another teacher has left this world.
According to the Bundang Police Station on the 3rd, a teacher in his 60s, Mr. A, from a high school in Yongin City, passed away around 10:35 a.m.
He was found dead at the Cheonggyesan Mountain hiking trail entrance in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Mr. A’s family reported to the police on this day as he did not return home after going out the previous day. The police discovered Mr. A, who was deceased, through mobile phone tracking.
A suicide note was found among Mr. A’s belongings. The police suspect that he had committed suicide, considering there is no evidence of murder.
The family stated that Mr. A was distressed due to recent complaints from his parents.
The police are investigating the circumstances that led Mr. A to make an extreme choice.
The news of teachers’ deaths has been reported one after another in the past few days.
On the 31st of last month, a female teacher, Ms. A, who had been in charge of the 6th grade at a primary school under the jurisdiction of the Seoul Gangseo-Yangcheon Education Support Office until July, made an extreme choice outside the school.
On the same day, a male teacher, Mr. B, a 6th-grade homeroom teacher, made an extreme choice outside the school. It was also reported that Mr. B was a 6th-grade homeroom teacher. Mr. B left a suicide note for his family.
Meanwhile, some teachers have announced a large-scale rally on the 4th, called the “Day of Stopping Public Education.”
